Treatment of ponds without aquatic life:

Public and private pools, spas, jacuzzis, physical rehabilitation pools, aquatic gymnasia...

Currently, the most widely used for disinfection of swimming pool water system is sodium hypochlorite (bleach). It is added to the water in the recirculation circuit and its filtration capacity meets the requirements bactericidal disinfectant required to maintain the quality of the pool water. However, sodium hypochlorite also has limitations (see comparison chart at the end of file).

Installing an ANAQUA unit for the treatment ponds without aquatic life allows the injection of neutral anolyte, to purify water basins and DHW circuits (Domestic Hot Water) while maintaining the level of active chlorine residual, without developing the negative effects of chlorine.

APPLICATIONS :

 Injection in the pools

Purification  of water – Purification of pipes - Destruction of pathogen germs - Elimination of biofilm - Destruction of algae –  Non-corrosive – Non-toxic – Non-hazardous to the environment

 In disinfection and Fogging

Sanitizing the premises - air sanitation - disinfection of toilets (showers, toilets, urinals) - disinfecting cloakrooms

Many studies have revealed pathogens from water, including Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, E. coli, Cryptosporidium, Giardia Lambia, Listeria and Legionella. Bacterial contamination can be found in biofilms throughout the water distribution system.

Our tests in these areas led us to find the most common problems in these basins such as the formation of algae (green water color, sides and bottom of the pool slippery), turbidity, stains on the walls, limestone, odor, corrosion.

Our studies have shown that the use of neutral anolyte allows eradicated all bacteria, viruses, fungi and algae, while maintaining a neutral pH level, and avoiding the formation of by-products such as trihalomethane.

The use of neutral anolyte, in various forms, can handle all of these disadvantages :

• Injection into the pool for purification of both the water and the entity

• In adding water in the circuit to allow the cleaning of the pipes

• Spray to disinfect the premises and for health

• In footbaths to disinfect the feet of all people incoming the pool

• In mist for disinfection of indoor air, health and changing rooms

ADVANTAGES :

The neutral anolyte, the only product to use for perfect water :

• Elimination of chlorine odour

• Remove the effects of chlorine

• Not irritating to eyes and skin

• Will not discolour clothing

• Significant reduction of trihalomethanes (THMs)

• Full Biocide: removes organic matter, bacteria, viruses, spores, fungi ... without the need for additional chemical treatment

• Prevents the formation of algae

• Prevents biofilm formation

• No corrosion due to the acidity of conventional products

• Elimination of chemical reagents and pH flocculation

• Total decontamination of filters

• Crystal clear and healthy water

• Cost Reduction (in situ production, no transportation, handling or storage of hazardous material).

DOSAGE

The neutral anolyte produced by ANAQUA units is injected into the pool water by a metering pump placed in the filter circuit. The neutral anolyte percentage injected is proportional to the presence of pathogenic microorganisms induced mainly by use of the pool. The assay is defined by a free chlorine sensor, or the measurement of the ORP.

DESCRIPTION

ADVANTAGES

LIMITS:

Advantages - Effective against most pathogens

• Relatively safe for use and storage

• When produced in situ, it does not require the storage and transport of chemicals

• Ineffective against cysts (Giardia, Cryptosporidium)

• Loses its properties in prolonged storage

• Generates byproducts such as trihalomethanes, chlorates and chlorites

• Security measures required for handling and storage

• Can cause problems of intoxication

• May have respiratory problems

• Irritating to eyes and skin

• May cause burns, dizziness or poisoning

• Particularly intense odour

• May cause corrosion of facilities

• They do not act against algae or fungi ; need for additional chemical treatments

• Do not remove the biofilm

• Strong oxidant and disinfectant

• Very effective against all types of bacteria, viruses and spores

• Effectively removes odours and flavours

• Eliminates the biofilm

• Significant reduction in training of chlorinated compounds, halogen and THM

• No toxic byproduct : Chlorite (ClO2) and chlorine (ClO3)

• No acute or chronic toxicity

• Low production costs

• Does not lose effectiveness over time or temperature

• Storage and handling is easy and safe

• It requires normal ventilation in the production room

Decorative pond AFTER TREATMENT

The algae have completely disappeared and their progression is under control. There are no longer any unpleasant odors, and the water is clear.
